Easy Ways to Make Extra Money

There are so many ways to make extra money these days, whether it be online or otherwise. It may be a little difficult to find which ones are for you or how to get started. There are side jobs, working from home jobs, selling things online or other online opportunities. We’ll show you how to dive right in and get started with ease.

Make Food Deliveries

This is one of the fastest growing trends in the world, food delivery.  You can sign up online or through apps that will allow you to make extra cash fast.  Services like DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grub Hub make it easy to register and get paid, plus any tips you might make along the way.  You might not even need a car as some services will allow you to make deliveries by bike.  There are typically background checks to become part of each service.

Walk the Dog

Did you know you can get paid for walking dogs?  Apps like Rover and Wag! allow you to get registered and paid for walking dogs or being a dog sitter.  What a great way to get some exercise and make extra money. If you have your own place, you can even offer boarding for overnight stays.  Background checks are required.

Take Surveys Online

One of the easiest ways to make money is by taking online surveys with Survey Junkie. You can log on whenever you have a little extra time and make some extra cash! You can earn anywhere from 20 cents to $3.50 per survey. You can take surveys for different companies including travel, technology and consumer goods among others. You can make even more if you participate in focus groups and product trials. Click here to check out Survey Junkie.

Sell Your Stuff

If you have never tried selling on sites like Ebay, it is quite easy to get started.  Set up the account, snap a few pictures, write the description and you are in business.  Well, there may be a little more to do than that, but it is really quite simple.  Once you get set up the first time, it becomes easier each time you list an item.  If you want to make even more cash, try going to yards sales or thrift stores and buying items to sell.  You can make pretty good money with this but be careful to do your research on the products you are buying as you don’t want to lose money.  Additional sites include Poshmark, Etsy and ThredUp.

Become a Chauffeur

Well, not really a chauffeur, but you can drive for Uber or Lyft and make money driving people around.  Make your own schedule and decide how much distance you want to drive to make decent money.  Remember to figure in your gas and car maintenance expenses.  Of course, you will need a reliable vehicle and insurance. These companies will also require a review of your driving record and a background check.

Get Paid to Shop

If you enjoy shopping, this one is for you!  Sign up at Instacart or Shipt and you can get paid to do people’s shopping for them.  This isn’t just for groceries.  There are a lot of different stores that you can shop, whatever the customer wants.  You can work as little or as much as you would like.  You will need to pass a background check, have a smartphone, a driver’s license and vehicle, be at least 18 years old and have a savings account.

Find Online Work as a Freelancer with Fiverr

You can become a freelancer by joining Fiverr.  Choose anything from data entry, writing, marketing, web design, video and voice over among other things.  People come to Fiverr for these type of tasks for their companies rather than doing it themselves or hiring individuals to do it.  So, if you’re willing to do some simple tasks online, these could be for you! Click here to go to Fiverr and get started or just look around.

Peer to Peer Lending

Investors can connect with borrowers for crowdsourced loans for individuals who need money.  Returns can be high on some loans, depending on the risk you are willing to take.  This can be a great way to make passive income while helping someone who needs a loan.  There are a few different platforms to chose from including Lending Club and Prosper. If you have some extra cash not earning any interest, this could be a great way to let your money work for you.

Join a Focus Group

Companies are always looking to get consumer’s opinions on their products and services.  To do this, they hire consumer research companies that pay people to share their opinions.  That’s where you come in!  The research companies then share this feed back and the end company uses it to improve the product or service.  One site is Userinterviews.com but there are plenty online that you can peruse.

Odd Jobs on Craigslist

Craigslist is still a great resource to find one-time gigs if you need money fast.  You can help someone move, house clean, do some painting, pet sitting and other odd jobs.  Most of the time these types of jobs will pay cash the day of the service.

Be a Secret Shopper

You can sign up to be a secret shopper and shop in your local community. Earn extra money, free meals and other free services by being a secret shopper. You can help companies improve their customer service while you get to try out products and services.  Be sure you are working with a legitimate company.  One company you can check out online is BestMark.

Become an Umpire or Referee

Local athletic organizations and recreation centers are always looking for help to officiate sports programs. More often than not, these organizations will train you for free. If you do enough events, you can make some really good money while getting some exercise. I have friends that make thousands of dollars a year being an umpire or referee. If you are not too familiar with certain sports, you can start at the youngest age groups and move up as you get more comfortable. Typically, the higher the age group, the higher the pay.
